No Compressor? No Problem
The award-winning Wagner Power Tex texture sprayer features a powerful built-in air turbine that generates enough air flow to spray professional-looking texture on walls, ceilings, and other hard surfaces. Because the turbine is built into the sprayer, there's no air compressor or long air hoses required. The turbine is rated at 120 volts, 3.7 amps, and 60 Hertz. The Wagner Power Tex has received the "Member Tested and Recommended" seal and the "Contractor Tested and Recommended" seal from the Handyman Club of America.
Hopper Adjusts for Ceilings or Walls
The Power Tex features a large, one-gallon, two-position hopper that can be quickly configured for spraying either ceilings or walls without the need for adapters. Simply fill the hopper with water-based texture material--the same stuff the pros use--plug the hopper into a standard 15-amp wall socket, and spray. The hopper's three-point stand will stabilize the unit, making filling a snap, and the built-in arm rest will keep you comfortable while you work.
Lock-n-Go Technology for Quick and Easy Use
Featuring Wagner's Lock-N-Go Technology, the Power Tex is easy to set up and clean anywhere--no tools required. Assembly takes just minutes: lock the air turbine onto the back of the spray gun with a simple twist and fit the hopper into place on the top of the gun. Screw on the desired nozzle and the Power Tex is ready to go.
Cleaning the Power Tex is also a breeze. Simply remove the air turbine, hopper, and nozzle from the spray gun and clean with the included brush and warm, soapy water. Let dry and reassemble the unit for storage--it's that easy!

Tools and Hardware Reviews of Wagner Spray Tech 520000 Power Tex Texture Sprayer
Customer Review: Great results after first try!
Summary: 5 Stars
This item gets the 5 stars it deserves. The only issues were all my doing.
I am in the process of finishing our basement. After hanging the drywall and embedding metal corner beading in setting-type compound (I don't want cracks), the plan was to call in the professionals to finish off. I had done the playroom area a couple years ago and did not get a good result from roll-on texture paint.
I needed the bathroom ceiling textured first, which would not be possible unless I did it myself, so, when Amazon dropped the price for the sprayer, I decided it would be more cost-effective than getting in a professional for only one room.
I went with SheetRock QT Medium popcorn texture and mixed up 1 gallon to start, thinking that would be sufficient. Using the yellow spray nozzle, the practice shot on a spare piece of drywall gave a great spray, only to become very watery on the ceiling. I battled through the rest of the mix and was not very pleased at all with the result. Not quite a mess, and it did look a lot better after it dried, so perhaps another mix would fill in.
The texture is a 40lb bag, to mix with 5 gallons of water, so 8 lbs to one gallon. A margarine tub held exactly 1 lb of powder. The mistakes became clear as I prepared for the second mix. Overconfidence got eights and fives confused, and the first mix had only 5 lbs to the gallon. I used a bent wire hanger as a paddle. Worked fine for paint, so...
At Menards I found an inexpensive paddle - one that looks like a propeller with a guard that allows it to be used even against the side of the container, and it's not imported. That, and getting the ratio right (I mixed 7 lbs to the gallon to have some wiggle room), produced a mix that was right-on.
The second coat made all the difference. I did overload one spot which did not look too good while it was wet, but now that it's dry: if I don't tell you where it is, you won't notice.
I'll be more careful to get the mixture right next time and be prepared for two coats right from the start.
Application is very simple. The sprayer works precisely as advertised. The biggest problem is to overcome the temptation to do it in one pass. Spend more time in preparation, especially protecting the floor and masking the wall thoroughly to avoid unnecessary cleanup. Start by painting the ceiling with First Coat to even out the surface, and let it dry before applying texture - as recommended by SheetRock. Spraying into corners is tricky. The mix seems to blow everywhere except where the walls and ceiling meet. I plan to try spraying corners obliquely next time to avoid this. Relax and take it slow while texturing, realize that it will look a lot better after a second coat, and you will get the finish you deserve.
